22nd November 2012- Always an excellent service!

24th August 2012 - We had a breakdown, a fitter was called out, and within 30 minutes he was at the vehicle. We were back on the road in no time at all. First class service I would recommend your company to anyone.

10th August 2012 - Happy that Chatfields, Birtley can inspect our vehicle on a Saturday morning with the assistance of a courtesy van to allow our driver to do other things whilst vehicle being inspected.

3rd August 2012 - The service was fantastic; the van salesman even picked me up to collect my van. This is the first time I have ever dealt with an honest and down to earth salesperson. I shall of course be recommending Chatfields to friends and family and will return when I renew my vehicle. Thank you for a pleasurable experience.

13th July 2012 - It’s always excellent service at Chatfields at Birtley.

20th July 2012 - Originally purchased my first Peugeot van from Chatfields and when I came to change tried Richard Hardies at Gilesgate Durham as they are a Peugeot specialist - very poor customer service and very low price offered in exchange for my 2 1/2 year old Peugeot Expert with 12,300 miles on the clock. Also none of the representatives were the same despite having bought a Peugeot 308 SW from them not 3 months previously - the salesman had no experience of the Peugeot range!!

Rang Colin Ebdale at Chatfields Birtley and told him what I wanted in terms of specification for my new van. (To obtain a comparison) After 2 days came back to me with 2 choices both with a better trade in deal and cheaper prices!

Having previously dealt with Colin I already knew him to be as honest (as a Dealer could be) but was very happy to accept his quotation and price as it saved me just under £1500 as against Richard Hardies quote, I also trusted Colin from my previous experiences with him and would have no hesitation in recommending him and Chatfields to other colleagues.

22nd June 2012 - First Class Service - no problems

8th June 2012 - As always it is a pleasure to come to Chatfields the staff are always friendly and very helpful.

11th May 2012 - I would like to thank all the staff involved in the problem we had with a wagon electric window.

A friends wagon window failed, would go down but not up!! (And it was raining) I called up to have a look and it appeared that the rope had snapped on the inside.

I rang your parts dept. on Monday morning first thing, explained my problem on the wagon , and although I am a lady I do drive HGV 1 and have a bit of knowledge, although not a mechanic !!!

After your parts department had found the wagon on your system and the part required, I asked if it was easy enough fitted. I asked to speak to the workshop and they informed me that yes possible but fiddly, exceptionally understanding and helpful to me... So that was the plan, get the part fingers crossed I would manage (more rain due). After speaking to the owner, she asked if we could just get it sent up by post, no one going down.

On calling back, I was amazed, I spoke to the delivery driver, gave him directions (out in the sticks in Powburn!!) and I was assured it would be with us by pm that same day

Your service was outstanding, the staff in parts, workshop and the driver were a credit to your company. Sorry I do not have names, but I am sure you can find out, and thank them very much. To ring up with a problem, have friendly helpful advice, the part delivered all in the space of 6hrs was fab. And yes I went up and fitted it that evening 10min all done and working!!!

4th May 2012 - No problems at all, the service has been excellent.

25th March 2012 - Bought 2 vans from Peter now and wouldn’t hesitate to recommend him and the company.

19th March 2012 - All works were booked in advance and all were completed as per schedule - thank you.

6th February 2012 - I always find the staff at Chatfields very helpful and friendly.

23rd January 2012 - Today I received a call from Dennis Hutchinson MD of JR Holland Newcastle who has just bought 6 LF's from Allun Cairns. Dennis said he was so impressed with Allun he felt it important that he rang me to say that in all his years he had not dealt with any salesman who demonstrated so much dedication and commitment to ensuring he exceeded the customers’ expectations. He said Allun was a pleasure to deal with. He explained that he had split the order 50/50 with us and Mercedes only because the local Mercedes dealer is a tenant in his premises but based on Allun's performance we would get an order for another 4 trucks.
